Below is a list of various Non-Profit Organizations operating in New Brunswick that can help with housing.

The Homeless Hub is a branch of the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness and is one of the largest libraries on homelessness research in the world. 

The NB Association of Planners is a regulatory body for professional planners in New Brunswick. Planners recommend how and where buildings should be built to best suit the community and province access to homes/facilities. The website has not been updated since December 2022.

Housing Alternatives Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that provides Development and Management Services to both Housing Co-operatives and Non Profit Housing Organizations in South Western New Brunswick. Embracing a recovery-oriented approach, Housing Alternatives Inc. currently has 9 units in Saint John. 

Provides expertise and support for the nonprofit and affordable housing sector in New Brunswick as well as housing research and policy development

The Human Development Council identifies and addresses social issues in New Brunswick through research, information, coordination and networking. The HDC has done research on housing need / homelessness in New Brunswick’s 3 major cities (Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton) and runs the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System. 

United Way is an international non-profit fundraising organization that focuses on programs that can help communities as a whole. United Way Saint John helps fund various shelters in New Brunswick, as well as the 211 phone service and website.
